What We Believe

"What we believe about Christ is outwardly and profoundly expressed in the lives we live."      C. Siegfried

Core Beliefs

Big Deal Ministries is rooted on the foundational truths taught in the biblical scriptures. All of our teachings and ministries are contextual and balanced to the truth in and about Christ.

God

There is one eternally existing God, one divine nature,  who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and God the eternal Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all things, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise.  God is perfect in love, grace, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom,  justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable in nature and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Revelation

God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

Mankind

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as Gods own representatives to the rest of God's creation.

The Fall

When sin entered the nature of mankind through disobedience, death was its result. The kingdom of men lay in ruin and their kingdom, the earth, was subjected to futility and decay as a result. Sin, as ink through a garment, was transferred from generation to generation.

Salvation

The real man, Jesus Christ, came to redeem sin stained humanity for God. He lived a qualified life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our rebellion against God. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers the free gift of eternal life to all who trust in Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. For salvation comes by no other Name.

The Church

The biblical Church is not an organization or location. Locations and organizations are merely facilitating where churches gather and have community one with another. The Church is the collection of believers as they function as the physical members of the Body of Christ on earth. That body and those believers are called to encourage and serve one another in the spirit of unity and peace.

Ressurection

Jesus Christ is returning for His church to rescue them from the redemption of the earth. The dead in Christ will be raised form the dead to join in that rescue. The inhabitants of the earth will ultimately be judged, both the living and the dead. God will then, through His Son establish His Kingdom on the earth once more
